Chin Wei is the Advisor of Ong & Partners. He graduated from National University of Malaysia in year 2008 with honours in law. He has 10 years of legal experience gained through his tenure with various established firms in Kuala Lumpur. His practice is in real estate & property, corporate, banking & finance, and general litigation,.

 

His portfolio in real estate transactions include general conveyancing, advisory, banking matters, acquisition and divestment of properties, corporate and consumer loans, advising on licensing and regulatory approvals and stamp duty issues in relation to property matters, and advising on property development projects and leases & tenancies.

 

With extensive experience in managing complex real estate cases and property cross transfers, Chin Wei client base includes banks, property developers, non-profit organizations, liquidators, statutory corporations and local and foreign private real estate funds.

 

Chin Wei experience in property advisory and consultancy  includes idenfication of development opportunities whether mixed use or single use including office, retail and leisure, and residential; evaluation of competition affecting pricing; planning policy strategy formulation; development agreements, options and joint ventures; property and estate strategies; legal negotiation; and development funding.

 

Chin Wei has an excellent track record in providing strategic development advice affecting the future potential from both land and buildings

 

His experience in litigation and dispute resolution include cases on contractual disputes, tort, insurance, personal injuries and property damage claim and land law.  He is also experienced in all manner of court proceedings including the initiation of action, interlocutory proceedings such as injunctions, discovery and interrogatories, and execution proceedings such as committal proceedings and the appointment of receivers and managers.
