Tricia is the co-founder of Ong & Partners. She graduated from the National University of Malaysia in 2008 with an Honours Degree in Law.

 

Since her admission to the Malaysian Bar in 2009, she spent 2 years actively involving in civil litigation and arbitration matter in the areas of contractual and commercial dispute, debt and corporate restructuring and banking litigation.

 

Her experience in the litigation division in her early years of practice has greatly enlightened her on the legal drafting and negotiating to effectuate the clients’ needs and to anticipate potential legal disputes.

 

She now focuses and specialises in areas relating to real property transactions as well as corporate and securities related matters.

 

In real estate, she is well-versed in advising foreign and local developers on property development and management related matters in Malaysia. She also specialises on all legal aspects of land matters, joint venture agreements between developers and landowners, lease agreements for commercial complexes and office towers, domestic and cross-border property transactions by advising foreign multinational clients in establishing joint ventures and acquiring commercial property and business operations.

 

In banking portfolio, she regularly advises and represents local and foreign financial institutions in various conventional and Islamic banking transactions, securitisation of documents for project financing, bridging and end-financing.

 

Apart from these, she also actively advises on various mergers and acquisition, corporate restructuring, joint-ventures & shareholders arrangement, corporate finances and foreign investments. Fluent in Mandarin & English, she handles and advises international clients on corporate and commercial transaction as well as Chinese clients within and beyond China.
